CORNWALL PARK RATING.

REDUCTION OF VALUATION.

The rating of Cornwall Park was the subject of a letter received from the Valuer-General by tho One Tree Hill Eoad Board last evening. Tho letter stated that in the new roll for the district the valuation appearing in the name of tho Cornwall Park Trustees was made without reference to the Valuation of Land Amendment Act passed last -session. It had,, therefore, been cancelled and the valuation would be considerably reduced. The clerk was directed to inform the Valuer-General that the board, while in sympathy with the trustees, respectfully suggested that the valuation bo not reduced below that made in 1913, as that valuation was the basis on which rates had been made for loans amounting to about £83,000.
