MR. A. FISHER'S POLITICS.
SHOCK TO SCOTTISH LABOUR Australian and N.Z. Cablo Association. (Reed. 6.30 p.m.) LONDON, March 20, The Scottish Labour newspaper, Forward, explains why Mr. Andrew Fisher, iato High Commissioner for Australia, was rejected by the Kilmarnock Labour Party as a Parliamentary candidate. Mr. Fisher, states the newspaper, declared himself a Socialist, but amazed the delegates by his answers to questions. Asked if £500,000 paid in royalties would not bo better utilised for the unemployed, Mr. Fisher replied that the royalties were worth every penny they got. Replying tp other questions, ho disagreed with the advocates of disarmament, and thought! that there was a case for strengthening the navy. He disapproved of the nationalisation of mines.
