LONDON LOAN MARKET.
♦ VICTORIAN NEGOTIATIONS. £2.000,000 FOR SIAM. A. and N.Z. LONDON, Feb. IS. The new Victorian loan will be at 5$ per cent., and probably will be underwritten at the end of the week. The price is not yet settled pending a decision on the bank rate, which is likely to be reduced to-morrow. The conditions of the money market are very favourable.
A Siamese loan of £2.000,000 at 7 per ! cent, at par was largely over-subscribed within an hour.
All the recent colonial issues are quoted at large premiums, the Commonwealth loan at 755, the New South Wales at 60s the South Australian at 92 5 6d and th< Citv of Sydney at 57s 6d.
