At a sale of free wool to-day, a small offering met with good competition, especially from the Home trade, and prices generally were 5 per cent, above the opening rates. New Zealand's Belfast clip realised Is 4d. SALE IN AMERICA. NEW ZEALAND LOTS SOLD. A. and N.Z. NEW YORK, Deo. 2. \ At Boston, the Government offered for sale at auction 7,000,0001b of wool. Australian super forties combing, practically free, brought 29 cents, clean high quarter super'lambs 46 cents, and ordinary slightly faulty forty-fours, 31 cents. Against no bid in November, New Zealand super forty-fours and fortysixes, bellies, brought 29 cents, clean forty-fours medium carding 27 cents, and forties medium hoggets 35 cents. . BRADFORD MARKET FIRMER. EFFECT OF RISE OF MARK. A. and N.Z. LONDON, Dec. 2. The improvement in the Beriui Exchange and prospects of stability" are reacting on the Bradford market, where top makers are now more independent in the expectation of better prices from Germany later. Tho British-Australian Wool Realisation Association will sell 2 000 bales at Bradford on December 20, and if the experiment is successful it will be repeated periodically.
