The Koyal Commission which is inquiring into tfhe administration of the 1916-17 ( wheat crop, resumed its sittings for the ~ purpose of examining George Georgeson, ( wliose lost memory, according to medical evidence, has been regained. Georgeson claims that he is now capable ( of conducting his business, but to practi- , cally every question asked regarding , jvfceat transactions he declared that he could not remember. He could remembor ! he was engaged in the wheat business, but ! he had no recollection of details. : . He said that people came to his house 'and 6aid he was suspected of giving money to Ministers of the Crown, but though he could ■ not Temember, he was satisfied that he was as capable of giving money- to Ministers- is of committing . murder. As for giving money to politicians he was certain he would not be a party to giving sixpence which was not earned. No money passed through his fingers wrongfully. The commission considered it useless to question Georgeson further, and after ex- . amming medical and other witnesses, upon i the strength of whose affidavits the com- ■ mission was reopened, Mr. Justice Pring, i in view of the, fact that no new evidence • was forthcoming, adjourned the commisI sion.
