SHORTER WORKING PERIOD.
NINE DAYS A FORTNIGHT. A. «nd N.Z. . SYDNEY, Sept. 16. In consequence of intermittent work, the council of the Coalminers' Federation decided to limit the working fortnight to nine days instead of eleven. The owner?, regard the decision as an effort by direct action to gain control of the minas, which flouts the tribunal.
