KAWATIRI LAID UP.
THE CREW RETURNING. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 1.6 a.m.) SYDNEY, Sept. 16. Owing to the slump in trade the steamer Kawatiri is being laid up. The crew is returning to Auckland by the Maheno, where they will be paid off.
