ABORIGINAL PATRIOT.
RESERVE FOR RACE SOUGHT. APPEAL TO SWITZERLAND. LONDON, June 27. The correspondent of the Times at Berne states that an Australian aboriginal, Anthony Martin Fernando, who is seeking support for his suggestion that a certain district in North Australia should be reserved for aboriginals, under the supervision of a neutral mandatory Power responsible to Britain, has arnvsd at that, city. He endeavoured to interview the Pope, but did not have the necessary letters of introduction. He has now petitioned the Swiss Government to intervene, in order to prevent the utter destruction of his race. Fernando was a prisoner of war in Austria. and has also been employed on the Italian He speaks English fluently.
