At a meeting at Kakaramea last week addressed by Mr. Mcllvrido and Messrs. W. E. Parry and P. Eraser, M.P'b., the following amendment to a motion of thanks to the speakers for their addresses was proposed, seconded and carried with a few dissentients: —"This meeting thanks the speakers for addressing them; but this meeting of loyal citizens enters a strong protest against the tactics of the present New Zealand Labour Party, and is of opinion that with an cxtremo Labour Government, in power there would be disloyalty, dissension, and disruption of our constitution. Wo therefore have no confidence in the present' Labour Party, and are determined to maintain a united front against their attacks on constitutional order and authority.".
