TROPHIES OF THE WAR.

AUCKLAND AREA ALLOCATION. The committee formed to deal with the distribution of war trophies in No. 1 Group area, has made the following allocation of German machine guns, all of which were captured by Auckland unite. The following centres are to receive two guns each :—Helensville, Takapuna, Pukekohe, Avondale. Mount Eden, Birkenhead Devouport, EJJeralie Drurv, Mount Albert. :Northeote, Onehunga, Great Barrier market. '

The following centres and institutions are to receive one each •— Henderson, Waiuku. Tuakau, Papakura, Waiheke, Hobsonville. Bombay, Mercer, Papatoetoe, Technical College, Otahuhu. Pokeno, St. Heliers, Clevedon, Soldiers' Club, New Lynn Point (Waller, Papakura Valley, University College, St. Stephens, Northern Club, | Commercial Travellers' Association Club' : Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron' | Albany, Howick. Waiwera, King's Col' ! lege, Sacred Heart College, Jun'or Club • Pacific Club. Masonic Club, Hunua, Auck--1 land Grammar School, Officers' Club • -Auckland Club, Workmen's Club, New i Zealand Power Boat Association. ! The following defence units will ' also ; share :n the allocation :—3rd Auckland I Regiment, 3rd Auckland Mounted Rifles , Garrison Artillery Division, Field ArtilI lerv Br'gade. This allocation will absorb 78 of the 100 guns available.
