Hooton, genera] manager of the Farmers* Co-or>erative Wholesale Federation (N.Z.), Limited, arrived from Wellington yesterday, accompanied by Mrs Hooton. They are at the Grand Hotel. Mr. J. S. Laing, of the Wynvard (Tasmania) branch of the Bank of Australasia, has been appointed manager of the Masterton branch of the bank. "in succession to Mr. E. T. Costeilo. who has been promoted to the Napier branch. Captain T. Farr, D.5.0., Mr., R.N'.Z.A., has been appointed ' artillerv instructor at the General Headquarters School. Trentham.
