DELAY ON MAIN TRUNK.

GOODS TRAIN DERAILED.

The derailment of a goods train between Hunterville and Marton on Saturday evenins blocked the Main Trunk line for about three hours. No particulars of the accident have been received in Auckland, but it ie understood that it was not of a serious nature. The express which left Wellington on Saturday was delayed until the line was cleared. The train reached Auckland at 8.14 a.m. yesterday, or slightly over an hour and a-half behind schedule time. Passengers who joined the train in the Auckland Province had a disagreeable period of waiting, but the unpleasantness was minimised as far as possible by the railway officials by the lighting of" fires in the waiting-rooms.
