SAVINGS BANK FUNDS.

WAR LOAN SUBSCRIPTIONS.

TOTAL AMOUNT NOW £770,000.

A subscription of £70,000 to the new war loan from the funds of the Auckland Savings Bank was decided upon recently by the trustees of the bank. At a meeting on Wednesday the trustees decided to invest a further £100,000 in this loan, making a total subscription of £170,000. This amount, brings the bank's total contributions to the war loans up to £770,000. The total Government securities that now will be held by the bank amount to £1,000.000.
