The purchase of a property in Shortland Street, below the warehouse of Messrs. 'Wicks and Hall, has just been completed by Messrs. Brookfield and Schnauer, soliI citors, who intend eventually to transfer their offices to that locality. They are I now considering alternative proposals for : extensive alterations.. Should the tenders be satisfactory a new building . will be erected, providing office accommodation for the owners, with additional office space for renting, s but, failing this, the present building will be altered to- accommodate the firm's staff. . Sales' of business blocks in Karangahape Road are reported by Messrs" S. Vane and Bonn One of these which' is 'situated' in the busy part of Karangahape Read, changed hands at a price averaging £200 per foot. ■ The other property, which is close to Pitt Street, was disposed of at nearly £225 per foot.
