Tudor stated that the report in the Melbourne Age that members of the Wharf Labourers' Union refused to work with loyalists was incorrect, as the men were displaying a spirit of compromise in the matter. * , i ? STOPPAGE AT BRISBANE. COAL LUMPERS' CLAIMS. A. and N.Z. BRISBANE, Aug. 28. The coal lumpers refuse to proceed with coaling operations on the -wharves, claiming that the engagement "of labour should rest with the union, instead of the coal contractors.
