TWO TRANSPORTS NEXT WEEK a l BLEENGA DUE HEBE ON FRIDAY. The Auckland members of the draft of soldiers which reached Wellington by the transport Giesson on Monday * arrived at Auckland last evening, about half-past six o'clock. The Auckland men numbered only between 30 and 40. Two transports are due to reach New Zealand nest week. The Athenic, with returning draft No. 277, will arrive at Wellington on Monday morning. She has on board 442 soldiers, 358 wives, and 76 children. The latest advice by wireless is that the transport Ellenga will arrive at Auckland from Egypt on Friday, September 5, instead of on Wednesday, as previously announced by the Defence Department. There are on board 1105 men of all ranks, including 308 for the Auckland district.
