[DY TELEGRAPH.-OWN corbespondsnt.] HAMILTON, Saturday. • Sitting in his civil jurisdiction, His Honor Mr. Justice -Cooper gave judgment' in the case in • which, Frederick Nelson, land • ngent (Mr. Ma,cDi,armid), claimed from John Crosby (Mr. Gillies), £238, alleged commission on the exchange ■ of properties. In nonsuiting plaintiff His Honor held that lie was not a licensed land agent at the time he recoived instructions from the defendant.
William P. Robertson (Ml-. Gillies), applied for his 'discharge from bankruptcy. Counsel said the bankruptcy was 10 years old and. bankrupt had never asked for his discharge before, but now that he had returned from active service and required , Government assistance to build a house, it was necessary to have his dischargo beforo assistance would be granted. ' 'The official assignee did not oppose the application, which was granted.
