BAL ROADS AND WEATHER. [DT TELEGRAPH,-OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WAIROA. Friday. The parly consisting of members of Parliament" and others interested in tho Lake Waikaremoana electrical scheme left this morning for the lake. The rain continued, but by 11 a.m. the last of the cars had left Wairoa. For the first five miles progress was easy, but after that tho going was difficult and the members of Parliament had an experience of the roadless East. Breakdowns were frequent, but by midafternoon most of the 50 members of the party had reached Waimoko Pa, the halfway house. They were welcomed by the Maoris, and a meal was served on mats on' the floor, in Maori fashion. The weather continues threatening, but the party expects to reach tho destination to-night.
