NO GERMAN GOODS.

When opening the Industries Exhibition at Christchurch a few days ago, tho Mayor Mr. J. H. Holland, appealed to the public not to buy German-made goods. Ho added that after the war he would advocate the issue of licenses to all wholesale and retail traders. Those who sold any German goods would have to pay very high license fees, so much so that it would not pay them to sell German goods. But the trader xfha sold British goods only would get his license for practically nothing.
