"GRANDIOSE HEROICS."
FAILURE OF GERMAN BLUFF. Times and Sydney Sun Services. (Received October 12. 5.5 p.m.) London, December 11. The press is sarcastic at Dr. von Bethmann-Hollweg's expense. It points out that Germany has not profited by the bluff which commenced with wireless references to her readiness to make peace. Italy's signing the agreement of the allies not to conclude peace separately left the German Chancellor nothing to do but to display grandiose heroics in the Reichstag.
