NO ENEMY BEATEN.
VIEWS OF HERR HARDEN.
Times and Sydney Sun Services.
London, December 10.
Herr Maximilian Harden, editor of the newspaper Zukunft, who was recently exiled for voicing his opinion of Germany's methods but was subsequently allowed to return, lecturing in Berlin, said:—" We have not beaten a single enemy, to say nothing of defeating one totally. Some victory must be reached, though the task is monstrously hard. Germany must avoid a war of attrition at all costs, and therefore the people must make further sacrifices and privations. The Government must tell the people the real truth."
The military authorities approved of the lecture, the text having been submitted to them before the reading.
