MINISTER'S ASSURANCE.

[BT TELEGBAPH.— ASSOCIATION.] Intercarojcll, Monday. A deputation from the Southland Education Ivistitute waited on the Hon. J. A. Hanan, Minister for Education, to urge that effect be given to the report of the Boundaries Commission regarding the reduction of the number of education districts. Misgivings had arisen lest enactment in this matter should not be gone on with. The Minister assured the deputation that the report would be duly laid before Parliament. The House last session committed itself to this reform.
