BAPTIST TABERNACLE.
JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS The diamond jubilee of the Baptist Church in Auckland will be celebrated during the coming week by a series of services and meetings. It will be inaugurated tomorrow, when the Rev. A. G. Brown will be the preacher at both the morning and the evening services. \ public meeting will be held on Monday evening. The Mayor of Auckland. Mr. J. H. Gunson, will preside, and addresses will be given by-the Rev. E. A. Kirwood, president of the Baptist Union, the Rev. Joseph Clark, a former pastor of the Tabernacle, and the Rev. A. G. Brown. The cantata "The Holy City " will be performed cm Tuesday evening". On Wednesday afternoon a reminiscence gathering will be held under the presidency of the R v R. H. Snowies Kempton, and in the evening a tea meeting and service will be held. The celebrations will be concluded on the following Sunday. An effort is being made to liquidate the debt of £280 on the organ fund, and t!he pastor will attend in his vestry on Tuesday to receive donations.
