INTENSE ANGER AROUSED IN ITALY.

OUTSPOKEN COMMENT IN PROMINENT NEWSPAPERS.

"WE ARE ON THE EVE OF ENTERING THE WAR."

Rome, May 10.

The Lusitania has aroused intense anger in Italy. The Corriefs d'ltalia and other Catholic organs deplore the shameful German methods of warfare. Newspapers state that the Pope is convinced that the Germans have proved utterly regardless of every law of humanity and morality.

The Secolo says: " The torpedoing of the Lusitania happens at an opportune moment, because we are on the eve of entering the war, and participating in the struggle against the tyrants, bullies, and violators of every law of human right."
