METHODIST CONFERENCE.
The Methodist Conference of New Zealand will be opened in Christchurch next Thursday. It has been decided not to hold a conversazione, but in its place a Methodist tea meeting will be given in the Salvation Army Building, after which a missionary meeting will follow. The principal speaker of the evening will be Dr. George Brown. The conference will have to deal with the question of the modification of the itinerant system. The following are the names of the Auckland delegates: —The Revs. G. Bond. C. H. Laws, A. C. Lawry, G. H. Mann, E. P. Blamires, J. H. Simmonds, T. G. Brookes, C. H. Garland, N. Turner, Mr. and .Mrs. T. Hodgson. and Messrs. G. Winstone, J. Veale, J. E. Wheeler, J. Stanton, G. A. Buttle, L. W. Gladding, H. Eraser, A. Peake, G. W. Turley, T. H. Stevens, J. Tyler, W. S. Stone, and M. R. Souster.
