GERMANY'S LOSSES BEGINNING TO TELL.

TWELVE THOUSAND IN FRONT OF BRITISH SQUARE UNFLINCHING COURAGE OF UNTRAINED LEVIES. (Received November 17, 7.30 p.m.) London, November 16. An eye-witness with the British headquarters staff estimates that during the attack on Ypres on the Bth the enemy's losses along the front of one square of a British section were about 12,000. There is evidence that the Germans are beginning to be affected by their heavy losses. A large proportion of their forces are comparatively untrained, but the great fact remains that these ill-assorted levies did not hesitate to advance against highly-trained troops. Boys of 16 and 17 marched steadily up to the muzzles of our rifles and met death in droves unflinchingly.
