ARTILLERY DUEL ALONG FLANDERS FRONT.
GERMANS AGAIN HURLED BACK FROM CANAL. ALLIES RECAPTURE SEVERAL POSITIONS. Paris, November 16. An official communique states that an artillery duel proceeded yesterday from Nieuport to Dixmunde. The inundations now extend to within three miles of Bixschoote. The German attempt to cross the canal between Dixmunde and Bixschoote was hurled back, while a German regiment was entirely destroyed south of Bixschoote. German attacks south-east, of Ypres were repulsed, and we have assumed the offensive and recaptured several positions.
