GERMAN FORCE CUT OFF BY FLOODS.
STORMS DESTROY IMPORTANT RAILWAY BRIDGE. BRITISH TRENCHES VERITABLE FORTRESSES. (K«c«ivecl November 17, 9.30 p.m.) Rotterdam, November 16. Heavy rains and snowstorms have destroyed a railway bridge at Donderleuw, connecting Ghent and Bruges. It is rumoured that a largo force of Germans in an advanced position at Dixmunde has been cut off by floods as the result of storms. Fighting is less violent. It is stated that the Germans are admirably equipped for winter operations. The Belgians are also well provided with winter clothes. A Dutch journalist says the English are entrenched so formidably that their trenches are veritable fortresses, only more difficult to take than real ones.
