Scotland, the New Zealand aviator, who. with his assistant, Mr. Mann, took delivery of hi. two-seater 60-h.p, Le Rhone Candron biplane, which arrived by the Kaikourc This is the machine -which Mr. Scotland offered, together with his own services as pilot, to the expeditionary force, .in offer which was not accepted. Mr. Scotland will return to ChrisUhnrch to-night with the machine, which he thinks will be flying within a fortnight.
