APPEAL FOR CHARITIES. NEW ZEALAND PARTICIPANTS By Teleeraptf—Press —Copyright. London, June 24. Alexandra Day was celebrated to-day. Twenty thousand ladies were selling roses in the streets for charities, the number including many titled ladies. A hundred New Zealand girls were stationed at Whitehall under Lady Islington, while 40 Australians under Lady Rcid were in the Strand. Queen Alexandra drove through the chief thoroughfares, and received a great ovation. NEW ZEALAND CONTINGENT Times and Sydney Sun Services. (Received June Q5, 6.5 p.m.) London, June 24. The New Zealand contingent participating in the Alexandra Day flower-selling included Ladies Seafield and Milk, Mcsdames Wroughton and Alington, and Miss Mills.
