SALE OF AN HOTEL.
PROPERTY REALISES £10,000.
The sum of £10,000 was realised by tho sale at auction yesterday of the Rising Sun Hotel, Newton. The property was offered at auction by Mr. J. Thornes, subject to a lease and option for 14£ years. Bidding started at £8000, and the property was finally disposed of at £2000 above that figure, to Mr. P. Gleeson. Tho hotel is a- well-built, three-storey building of brick, with a frontage of 23ft to Karangaliape Road anad a depth of 100 ft.
