MEETINGS.
CELTIC SOCIETY.
THE newly-formed Celtic Society held a most successful social at St. Benedict's Hall last evening. Mr. nail Sltclton pre* sided. In tlio course of his opening address Mr. Skelton explained the aims of tho society. It is proposed to provide clubrooms for country members, also an Irish library, the nucleus of which hag already been formed. The toasts "The King," "Ladies," and tho " Celtic Society" were enthusiastically honoured. During the evening: musical it-ems were given by Miss Lorrigau and pupils of tho Marist Bros.' School, recitations by Miss Laura England and Mr. A. J. Martin, and Irish dancer given by tho Misses Mclnnerny and Mr. H. Withy. Tho accompanists were Misses Laura England and Owen.
