[by telegraph.—PßESS association.] DcNEDiN, Monday. The Portobello Marine Fish Hatchery Board has decided to ask Mr. Anderton (curator) to proceed to England to bring out a shipment of herring ova. Mr. Anderton will visit a number of hatcheries in Great Britain, and will also proceed to Norway, Heligoland, and any establishments on the Dutch, Belgian, and North French coasts. It is expected that the ova will come out in one of the large emigrant ships to Sydney, and then be brought to Port Chalmers. A large stock of lobsters and crabs will also be brought out, and Mr. Anderton will attempt to introduce such fish as turbot, haddock, and cod.
