AUCKLAND CLUB. The competition to be played this afternoon on the Middlemore links is the nursery handicap for B grade, players with handicaps of 13 or over. The conditions are medal play , over 18 holes. Players may arrange their own partners, and post entries will be received. This is. the only: competition on the fixture-card iu which 20 is not tiro limit handicap. In view of the number of inter-club and other matches 'to be played this season, players are particularly requested to return their ecoro cards as guides in the adjustment of handicaps and choosing of teams. The continuous monthly putting competitions over nine holes will commence to-day, the first round closing on Tuesday, April 30. The competition is open at any time between these dates, and the conditions entitling members to compete are that before commencing any round they shall first obtain from the steward the specially-pre-pared cards. Competitors are not limited to the number of rounds, but no round shall be commenced or recorded on other than the special putting competition card. When the card is completed by the accompanying scorer, it requires to be countersigned by the competitor, and immediately placed , in the box provided for the nurpose on the front verandah of the clubhouse. A trophy will be presented to- tho winner for each month. Members will bo particularly gratified to know that the committee have been successful in arranging for a mower to out the grass on the course. The work will -bp put. in hand on -Monday, and the -playing area should lie much improved before the end of the week. j MAUNGAKIEKItt CLUB. A medal handicap will. bo. held by the Maungakiekie Golf Club on. this and the two following Saturday r afternoons. The Waitemata Golf Club will open its links formally this afternoon, at two o'clock. A mixed foursomewillbe nlayed. Intending players who have not "already arranged partners are requested to be at tho clubhouse before two o'clock, so that arrangements can bo made to play. AUCKLAND LADIES' CLUB.
