A TEACHER'S SUSPENSION.
CHARGES NOT SUBSTANTIATED. [BY TELEGRAPH.OWN CORRESPONDENT.] .'■,'■' Gisborns, Tuesday At the request of tho Education Board, Messrs. McLeod and Morgan on Saturday proceeded to Tokomaru Bay to inquire' into the case of the School Committee having suspended the assistant teacher. Six members of the School Committee were present, also the headmaster and the assistant teacher. ' After an exhaustive inquiry, the committee, having failed to substaniate any of the charges made in their letter to tho Board, and recognising r that in suspending the teacher they had unwittingly exceeded their powers, unanimously asked leave to withdraw their letter. This was agreed to, and the teacher was reinstated in her position. -. ■ - - ■
