Pickersgill (Liberal) to a magistracy, resulted in the return of Mr. C. F. G. Masterman, formerly Under-Secretary at the Home Office,'who was unseated for North West ( Ham as the result of an election petition, his agent having been guilty of corrupt practices. Following is the result, of the polling:— - C. F. G. Masterman (L.) ... ; 2745 E. Hoffgaard (U.) ... ... 2561 _. Scurr (S.) ' ....... ... 134
At last election Mr. Pickersgill was returned with 2768 votes, Mr. Hoffgaard polline 2086.
