New York, April 13. The first exemption under the United States law "of 1907, forbidding the entry of aliens suffering from communicable diseases, has been granted in the case of Mr. George Romanes, son of the founder of the Romanes lectures at Oxford, who is suffering from tuberculosis, and was allowed to proceed to Colorado after giving a bond of £200 to observe precautions.
