Just of "Bart," who was beaten a foot in 545.; and ran third to Evans and Stokes, of Guy's, in the 220 yds, Evans winning' by inches only, with Palmer less than a foot behind Stokes- Another New Zealandcr who helped London' to victory was P. L. Poote, ■-•' who threw, -the ; hammer 104 ft, and won: that, event from the holder, Tucker, of Guy's,' the New Zealandcr'ss margin being 2fY Bin.
