' » . , A fast 59 miles unpfioed cycle road ride has just been accomplished by H. Green, one of England's crack road riders. Green rode the " 50" in 2h. lm. 25., which is some five minutes better than the previous world's record. Green rode a machine fitted with a three-speed gear, the variations being 115, 91. and 72in, the total weight of the cycle being 26|lb. Green continued on for the 100" record, but could do no better than 4h. 57m., a long way slower than his own work of 4h. 36m. 22c. He had the assistance ">f a slight favourable, wind.
