LAW AUSTRIAN'S BANKRUPTCY.
SUMDIQGER AND RESTAURANT- , KEEPER. H. statement of affairs has been prepared by Jure J&ksic, restaurant-keeper, of Grey' tai-Piti Streets, Auckland, who has filed a jft&tion to be adjudged bankrupt. His preheat position is attributed to adverse judgments given against him in the Court. Bankrupt, who is an Austrian, arrived in New" Zealand eight years ago, and went gumdigging. He came to Auckland last year, and bought the restaurant for £40 from Mr. Lucas, and spent another £25 to put it in order. Later on illness interfered with his proper conduct of the business, and subseoucntly he was proceeded against by Frank Murtmovich and others. Jour judgement* were given against him. He paid one, but - could not pay the others, and on" Friday last a bailiff seized his goods on distress warrant. Except a few shillings in Auckland, all bankrapt's debts were due to Austrians working »d the Okahakahu swamp. Insolvent claimed set-offs amounting; to £87 odd against his Austrian creditors. His assets were set forth as £16 ls"sd, and.his debts £108 10a. "The first meeting of creditors will take place next Tuesday afternoon. •
