EDUCATIONAL LETURES.
TESTEr.DAr afternoon the children of Grafton school attended the second lecture of a series which Mr. J. Gilchrist is delivering: at schools throughout tie-- Dominion. The subject was " A Trip Round the World, or a Lesson on Political Geography." It ..us profusely illustrated. The route lay between Poit Chalmers arid Wellington by way of the continents of Asia, Africa. Europe, and America. At the conclusion oi the lecture a. nutnbf'i of highly-amusing moving pictures were shown. The previous lecture »■»« r,n " The Animal Kingdom." It. too, was illustrated by over 100 pictures, a microscopic attachment being used, by ivhieh the children saw many specimens ot insects, very greatly magnified. The lecture* ere given with ttie approval of the school committees and the r.eadmasterf. Futures are to be delivered to Use children of Mount Eden school oe Wednesday and Thursday.
