POLICE COURT NEWS.
STREET LOITERING. At the Police Court ' yesterday, before Messrs. E. G. Ford and C. A. J. Haselden, J.P.'s, a young woman, Annie McConnell, was charged with .' drunkenness, with loitering in Karangahape Road for an improper purpose, and with having insufficient lawful means of support. Constable R. P. Boag said the accused's beFaviour had resulted in complaint* received from the residents in the vicinity where McDonnell resided. The Bench convicted accused on the first charge, fined her 20s, or in default one month's imprisonment on the secondhand discharged her on the third. MISCELLANEOUS. For driving an unlighted vehicle in Newmarket after dark, Quong Sang was fined 10s, and costs 7s. ' A fine of; ss, and costs 7s, was imposed upon Walter Fair-weather for failing to sufficiently light a hoarding in Karangahape Road after dark. ~ Three first offenders (a. Maori and two women)- were each fined 5s and costs, or in default 24 hours' imprisonment, for drunkenness. ~,, r \
