GRAMMAR SCHOOL BOARD.
The Auckland Grammar School Board met yesterday afternoon, there being* present: Sir Maurice O'Rorlce (chairman), Professor !A. P. W. Thomas, Dr. Roberton, Messrs. L. J. Bagnall, and C. J. Parr. :, Eleotion of Chairman: Sir -Maurice O'Rorike was unanimously re-elected chairman. Professor Brown . was elected, vicechairman and Professor Thomas actingchairman. - * Appointment of Teachers: The Chairman reported that. Professor Thomas and himself had: appointed Miss Macdonald and Mr. Caradus to the teaching staff. ■~ . Lower Department: : A letter was read from the headmaster (Mr. J. W. Tibbs), asking " for *he re-establisment of the lower department, which' had been discontinued at the end of last year. % The request'was agreed to. -.' >
