A COMPENSATION CASE. [BY TELEGRAPH.PRESS ASSOCIATION-] Lwekcargill, Thursday. • The magistrate gave judgment to-day in the case of Kenneth McKenzie versus Archibald McCallum, claim £150 compensation for the death of the, son of the ' claimant whilst in respondent's employment. The lad was found drowned in the river alpngside respondent's property, and the magistrate found:, that at the ; time of the. occur-, rence he f was pursuing his employment. \ The magistrate awarded tho claimant, who is. an old man, £25 damages, finding that claimant was in part dependent on the deceased's earnings for his support.
