MANY HOUSES DESTROYED.
EIGHT LIVES LOST.

London, April 4. There have been 28 shocks of earthquake at Bitlis. in Armenia.
Three hundred of the houses have collapsed completely and 1900 are considerably damaged. Among the buildings damaged is the mosque. Eight people have lost their lives in the destroyed and damaged buildings, and many have been injured.
