At the Trades and Labour Conference Joj day Mr. Peake, of Auckland, explained • that his remarks yesterday concerning sweating" and letting in the building ! trade at Auckland were intended to apply only to past times of depression, and not to the present, as everything connected with the building trade is now, he says, working harmoniously in that city.
