THE SLAUGHTERMEN'S STRIKE
TRADES COUNCIL AND THE
GOVERNMENT,
[BY TKI.EUKUMI. — I'RKSS ASSOCIATION.]
Dunedin'j, Friday
The following resolution was carried at a meeting of the Seamen's Union last evening: "That the Dunedin section of the Australasian Federated Seamen's Union express its regret at the epithets applied to the Hon. J. A. Millar and the Hon. Dr. Find lay at the Trades and Labour Council's Conference, with respect to the recent strike of slaughtermen. While expressing sympathy with the slaughtermen in their efforts to improve their conditions, we consider the references to the Ministers entirely unwarranted, and should be deprecated by trade unionists generally."
