A mu>du;-ai;i:i> man named James Cummings, was admitted to die hospital on Saturday afternoon, supposed to be suffering from the effects of chlorodyne poisoning. It is alleged that Cummings presented himself outside the Salvation Army barracks, at Epsom, earlier in the afternoon, and producing an empty bottle bearing the label "clilorodyne," stated that he had drunk the contents- with the intention of committing suicide. An emetic was administered with beneficial results, after which the mail's removal to the hospital was ordered. He is progressing favourably.
