SUDDEN DEATH AT PUNGAPUNGA.

COROUANDEL, Saturday. Donald McMillan, who has been working for Mr. Jas. Dykes at the Pungapunga. died suddenly last evening. The deceased had been complaining for some days, but felt much better yesterday. He, however, took a bad turn about eight p.m., and Mrs. McMillan ran for their nearest neighbour. Mr. Howard, but before they got back death had taken place. Dr. Smith was sent for. and not being ab'e to give a certificate as to the cause of death he informed the police of the circumstances on his return to Coromandel early this morning. Mr. A. H. K. Swindle}-, the Coroner, with the police and Dr. Smith, left subsequently for Pungapunga to hold an inquest.
