At Waiuku yesterday morning, Daniel Cotton steward °" board the se - Wcka ' cornmitted suicide by shooting himself. About - M ven o'clock Captain Bright heard > noise in the cabin, caused, lie thought, by the cashing of crockery; but on going into the cabin he was horrified to tad the ■ reward King dead with a gun alongside him and a. wound in his-abdomen. : Deceased ww in financial difficulties, although not "to a serious extent and Ihfc ■ wems to have preyed on his mind.
